Has anyone tried bottling in Base Camp In-tents India Pale Lager bottles? If you haven't seen these bottles, they are 22 oz aluminum pry-top and look like the picture below.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't and like the portability of non breakable bottles for camping, fishing, hunting, etc. I'm planning to give it a try my next brew but was curious if anyone else has bottled with these yet?

Tried putting a cap on it with my wing capper with no luck. Seems like it couldn't grip the neck. Should I try a bench capper?

Those are probably the same as the Bud aluminum bottles (except 22 oz). You need a bench capper. I wrote up a little on my experience using them. If you want to get the paint off, it's impossible without grinding. I ended up painting mine.

Also, I'd be extra careful prying the tops off. Depending on your bottle-opener, you could potentially bend the top too.
