I washed 80 bottles the other day for today's bottling of Hefe Weizen.
If you're like me, you rinse out your bottles, dry them and store them away. Sometimes for months. They can get dusty and need a rewash before sanitizing.
Also, if your like most HRers, you attach a bottle brush to your drill to clean the ones you got back from family and friends who DID NOT rinse them out before giving them back.
Like most days, we get our arms, face, shirt, etc., sprayed with water while extracting the brush from the bottle.
I have an idea that I tried out to keep that from happening.
I cut a hole in the bottom of a plastic Frozen Apple Juice container and ran the shaft of the brush through it. Attached it as a bit and inserted into the bottle.
The container sets over the bottle opening and the spinning brush sprays INSIDE the container while extracting. No more spraying all over.
