I got ahead of myself and have 5 gallons bottled and 10 gallons that will need to be bottled next Wednesday. By need, I mean I WANT my beer sooner than later. Should I get:

EZ cap or REG cap bottles?

Should I get 22oz or 32oz?

Blue or Amber?

I am still a ways away from kegging due to my living situation, but I look forward to building my keezer in the next few years.

Also, should I hit my friend in the face that got me started with this thing they call "home brewing?"

EZ Cap bottles are cool, but expensive. Regular bottles work great, unless you're needing some presentation pizzazz.

I use 12oz bottles because that's typically all I want at a given time. I do occasionally use some 22s, more often with my wine or big beers.

I pretty much always go amber on beer bottles.

And no, don't hit your new best friend in the face :D

I don't use EZ cap bottles. They are pretty slick, but pricey.

I'd always go amber.

I have 22oz, 12oz, and some belgian bottles. I'll generally bottle three 22oz bottles and 2 cases of 12oz longnecks per batch (5 or 5.5G). I like an even two cases so there isn't 6 bottles floating around in another case.

I like 16oz EZ cap bottles best - bottling time saved is worth the extra bottle cost IMO. Buddy of mine bought a couple of full cases of Grolsh in EZ cap bottles, has been reusing them for home brew with no bottle bombs as far as I know. Wish I had though of that before i accumulated by EZ cap stash!
