Blichmann TOP Temp Sensor in 7/8" hole

I need some advice on how I can install the Blichmann temperature sensor into an existing 7/8" hole in my HLT.

My thoughts - Install order from outside to inside of kettle:

Temp sensor, Blichmann temp sensor washer and O-ring, Blichmann temp sensor adaptor bushing for 1/2" mpt, SS Washer, 3/4" O-ring, Kettle wall, Nut.

Or should I put the large O-ring inside with the nut with recess for the o-ring?
