I'm looking to start up a batch of blackberry wine. Curious here....

Should I buy a separate bucket just for blackberries as they stain like crazy? I will be making other wines and meads and want to make sure that the buckets will be good to use over for others.

sorry...this posted in the wrong forum. should have been winemaking not recipes.

I make a 3 berry wine frequently in my 8 gallon bucket. Always cleans up nicely.
Maybe a Mod will move this for you.

So you don't get any staining or you do a different type of cleaning for the bucket?

I use the same food grade buckets are primary fermenters for Blackberry, Raspberry, Muscadine wines, etc. Even for apple ciders and perrys. I just wash out with warm soapy water, never have any staining.
