I just tasted a 2-hearted clone that I did a few weeks ago.

I went easy on the OG since I thought I would use the yeast cake for a different batch later.

I neglected to adjust the hop schedule to make the beer smaller....

As it turns out it is a little bit too bitter. It went from 1.050 to 1.009, but has about 60 IBU.

It had 1oz added early, at 60 Mins, then half ounces at 20, 15, 10 and 5 and 1oz dry hopped.

I am wondering how long it will take for the bitterness to soften a bit. I think the 'bittering' and 'flavoring' needs to fade a bit, but I know the aroma will as well.

I think this beer would be perfect at about 40-45 IBU. How long does this stuff take to fade, and does it matter if it is kept at 65 or 35 degrees? Do Bitterness, Flavoring and Aroma all fade evenly, or differently?

Yes the hop bitterness will fade and you should make notes as time goes by as to your impression of the beer. You could optionally blend a mildly hopped beer with this batch if you want to make it more drinkable but it's your choice. I would leave it go and drink it on days when you want a nice glass of hoppy beer.
 
Yeah, I figured it wouldnt fade the way I wanted it to.

The beer is fine for me, it is just others that I worry about!!!

I love it, one of my favorite brews so far, just wish the gravity was a touch higher for more ABV and a maltier finish. Oh well, there is always next time!
 
If you like it, drink it - others can drink the next batch if they don't like this one.

As for the ABV, just have another! :ban:
