Ok, so I just popped open my first beer from my first brew. It is an American Light Lager. To me it is extremely bitter which should not be normal. What do you think could have caused that? I only got the alc% to 3.15 as I had a few issues getting it to ferment.

How long were the hops boiled? If 45 minutes or more, that is the culprit.

Meh! APA is a good style. You will come to like bitter. Get used to it.

Yeah but just 1/2 oz.

The low abv is showcasing the bitter more. Drink them and learn to enjoy the bitterness! Got a 4 pack of stone ruination today. Wanna taste bitter? ;)
