My first batch of home brew has been in the bottle 2 weeks. Tried a bottle and was bitter, but drinkable, is that normal and will it get better in a few more weeks of aging?

What kind of beer is it? Did you make it from a kit or do you have the recipe you can post here?

I would give at least one month in the bottle before I worried. "Green" beer, especially if you're new, can take on a number of flavors, many of which go away with time.

Making new Sam Adams alpine spring . When I put my wort into the fermenter do I leave the hops in it? Directions doesn't say
