Boy, this is turning out to be one of the bigger food challenges of the trip. Near where we are staying g in Canton is an L. George Coney Island, a Cottage Inn pizza and of course all this killer Lebanese food. I have heard from a few people about each....what to do...I may have to get a meal from each and split it up with my crew.

Ya don't do Cottage...it's Buddy's or nothing.

Although I've eaten in coneys probably hundreds times over the years, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to hit one. Unless you're going to American or Lafayette in downtown. The beautiful thing is they are 24 hours if you had a hankering in the middle of the night.

yeah your best hot dog based trip would be tony packo's in toledo vs a coney. they're mostly just fine.

Bags are packed. Kids are in bed. Mom just went to get in bed. She just told me her deteriorating vision is getting worse. She thinks she she will be blind in three months. Feq. She is really looking forward to this trip.

Guess she ain't driving.
(She hasn't had a license for two years)

At the terminal waiting for our flight to Philadelphia.

Off to an exciting start. In line at the ticket counter just behind us is an extremely flamboyant Lesbian couple. Black girl and white girl. Both very tall. White girl was average looking, black girl was close to six foot tall with a great body. She was also wearing next to nothing. Tank top with no bra and tiny gym shorts. Her cheeks were hanging out and she was catcalling to men fairly loudly. In line for a while and my boys couldn't help but watch as she made random conversation with various men and then intermittently grabbed and fondled her girlfriend.

Tony Packo's is a lock. If I can do that Maumee Bay and a Mudhens game it will be a successful night Toledo. Just don't light a match in the hotel room that night.
This is very doable with Pako's at the Park right across the street from 5/3 Park and MBBCO is about .4 miles from there. Make time for a stop at Earnest Beer Works in S. Toledo.

Ok, off to Hershey. A bit of a tourist trap, but I should have guessed. I thought we would actually tour the facts when I read free factory tour. Oh well, kids had fun.

Then off to Gettysburg. What an amazing place. Cool to go from hearing about the Declaration of Independence on one day to hearing about Lincoln discussing the importance of their work.

Then we went to Fort Pitt and learned about the area's development before the Revolutionary War. Basically amounted to the natives getting ****** by either the French or the British. One of the British officers was GW which I did not know.

Think about how strategically significant it was back in the day to have acess to three rivers and basically a guarded back with Mt Washington. Crazy.

My head swam with the info in the museum. I wish I had more time to digest and understand the area. I find so often the basic history lessons we get fall so short. I could have spent a day here.

Head's up BigFrank, weather forecast in Grand Rapids is calling for rain/t-storms Wednesday after midnight, through Thursday, and very humid. I know you were planning on a Whitecaps game, so if you haven't purchased tickets yet, keep an eye on https://twitter.com/wmwhitecaps for potential rainout

Thanks! I really haven't paid a whole lot of attention to the weather forecast. I will start looking for alternative things to do.

Spent the night in Ohio Amish country. We went to an Amish museum that explained the Amish, the Mennonites and the Hutterites. Hope the boys understand some of it...I mean young Amish boys waived to them from buggies...they have to wonder why they are so different.
