I'm planning to brew a 5 gal BIAB batch of RIS next time, and would like to get a small "bonus beer" out of it. I will be making Marubozo's 2011 HBT Comp Winner. Using Bru 'n Water, I have calculated the salt additions needed for the RIS, and will be using 100% RO water to build upon. For the bonus beer, I plan to remove the bag from the first kettle and drop it in a second kettle with about 4 gallons of ~160 degree water.
My question is: For the second beer, do I use the sparge calc in Bru 'n Water (since the grains are fully mashed and I'm really just sparging in another container), or do I need to do a complete mash salt workup, or something else entirely?
