Can I replace the temperature controller in my Beverage Air refrigerator with a Johnson A419 Controller? I broke the dial stem off the original controller, and instead of shelling out $55, I’d try to use what i have. And , unfortunately, the dial is stuck on the max instead of the min.

By max, do you mean the max temp?

If so, a temp controller may not work, as it won't cool it to a temp less than that which the fridge is set at.

If by max you mean max cooling, the JC will work just fine.

That's a major brand, it may not be too costly to repair. Or, maybe there's a way to bypass the built in controller. It'd be worth some Google searching.

By max I mean warm. And I'm looking to hardwire the Johnson control to the fridge. A new controller costs $55 and I'm sure would take weeks to ship. Looking to brew today.

If you replace the original controller with it you should be fine.
