I did a 3-month contract at the Pacbell office where Scott Adams was working. It's all based on true experiences (although these days, he just picks an email & does a strip). My boss at a previous company had a great sense of humor and would pull his hair into points like that when he came around to deliver bad news or ask questions about schedules or whatever.

The senior year of my son's high school he did an internship in the engineering department for a local company. At the end of the term he was asked to give a presentation on his experience. I told him he should tell them that he learned that Dilbert is not a comic strip; it is a documentary.

He thought about it, agreed, but didn't think it would go over very well. Theses guys were wound kind of tight.
