Well, I just got back with a sad story and a huge win for me! Down the road from my house is a liquor store that is going out of business. The owner opened his doors after weeks of being closed to liquidate as much inventory as possible. Cash only and all 50% off!

For 35 dollars I now have:

Hinterland: Luna Coffee Stout
New Glarus: Fat Squirrel
New Glarus: Snowshoe Ale
New Glarus unplugged: Smoked Rye
Oso's: Night Train Stout

All the above are Wisconsin craft breweries

DFH: Palo Santo
SN: Kellerweiss

The math is just under 1 dollar a beer...I am stoked, broke and left wishing I had more cash...I would have bought up some IPA's but all the inventory is REALLY old so I went with the stuff that I knew would be ok. The Kellerweiss is for SWMBO...

Man I hate you, for the life of me I cannot find any way to get any New Glarus beer out here in Colorado. I guess I will just have to find a way to make it to WI sometime. Congrats on the beer score, Im sure you will enjoy it.

Congrats, you know times are tough when a liquor store in Wisconsin is going out of business

well, you do live in Ft. Collins... the beer there is the worst! i would happily live without new glarus to enjoy the bounty of beer that is brewed and available there... ;)

OP, nice score!

Maybe the liquor store owner should have stocked brats and cheese to fill out the other two sections of the WI food pyramid..... :)

The place had an electrical fire. The beer while still good, was not being refrigerated, There is also some, what I assume to be, dried smoke soot on the outside of the bottles that were not in a cooler (They look dusty). The fire happened in a different section of the building so it was not like the beer was cooked or anything.

Sadly the beer store was about 1 dollar higher than competitors. The selection was sort of organized. The deal comes into play when you pay 1/2 of the marked prices. I would have gotten more but funds just did not allow for it.

This was more than just a beer store it was also an archery range and bait shop. While I did not buy much beer from this place I did however buy bait and was going to start shooting my bow there...I am sad it is going under...
