Comedy from my last post. I want to try brewing using barrels now. Want to start on my next porter or stout. Has anyone here done this process before? Been having beers that have been in whiskey barrels or new barrels as of late and they are very tasty. Any input would be nice

You don't often see barrels being used for brewing from start to finish. They are usually used for aging or for "aging" where it's put in the barrel long enough to extract some oak flavor.

I used to beew a lot in college - but usually only after a long night of drinking Jagermeister or cheap tequila. I don't think I ever did it in a barrel though, it was usually a toilet, or maybe a sink.

Good times.
