Can someone explain how you know which "Single Infusion, ***, Batch Sparge" profile to select in Beersmith?

Single Infusion, Full Body, Batch Sparge
Single Infusion, Light Body, Batch Sparge
Single Infusion, Medium Body, Batch Sparge

Do you select the profile based on the type of beer you are brewing? If so, are there some general guidelines? While I love to drink beer, I cannot profess to being very knowledgable about classifying the different types. What may be light to me may be medium to someone else. Or am I way off base here?

TIA,

John

Full Body means more dextrines so it will be the profile with the higher mash temp. Light body, meaning less dextrines and more fermentable wort, will be a lower mash temp.

You can select the medium body profile and then manually adjust the mash temp based on your recipe.
