I tried to get to beersmith website to see if I could get the program again after my laptop crashed. Seems that IE can't hook up to beersmith. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? What would be the next best software?

I just tried it in Chrome, looks like the site is down. Check back tomorrow, maybe it's just a server outage, or they are updating the page.

Don't give up on BeerSmith just because their site is down. It's a versatile and powerful tool.

I just tried the BeerSmith site as well and it looks like it's still down...

Strange you post this about getting another copy of BeerSmith. I had the SAME question/concern so I e-mailed BeerSmith a few days ago. The following is my question and BeerSmith's response:

My question:

Hello,
I am considering ordering BeerSmith2. My current laptop is a bit old and needs to be replaced but I'm not ready to replace it at this time.

If I order BeerSmith2 and load it on my current laptop, then later either replace my laptop with another computer or my current laptop craps out, can I move the license for BeerSmith2 to another computer later on without another SW or license purchase??

BeerSmith's response:

Hi,
You can transfer your installation over to a new computer. Here are the instructions:

If you have BeerSmith2, make a backup copy of your Documents/BeerSmith2 directory.

Next check the Help->Activate command to get your registration key, then download and install the new copy on your new computer.

After you've run it and used your key to activate it you can (if desired) move your Documents/BeerSmith2 directory over to the new computer which will carry over your recipes and other data.

When you are done with the old computer and have your data saved, you can then uninstall it from the old one.

Cheers!
