Hey everyone, so my beer was on day 4 of crash cooling in my fridge, it's in the carboy (same vessel for primary fermentation). I had used Gelatin Wednesday night. This morning the thing was a big slushy! LOL. I have it in a water bath thawing out right now, but has anyone had experience with this? Possible effects on flavor, yeast viability for bottling, etc? I was planning on bottling in a few days. I've crash cooled a few beers and never seen this, but this was also the first time I've used gelatin as well... maybe that tipped the freezing point just low (errr.. High) enough... ?

This is a dry hopped pale ale/IPA with safale-05.

Harvest the ice out of the fermenter! Eisbock achieved! I wouldn't worry too much, though. Slowly let it rise to like 50* and then keep it at that temperature for cold conditioning.
