Beer Run!

Now this is what I call a beer run!


9 cases of Hair of the Dog Brewing Co. - Fred from the Wood (they only released 100 cases of this 11% golden ale aged 6 months in new American oak), 3 mixed cases (much of which I will be taking out to Denver with me to share with fellow HBT'ers) and a Jereboam of Epic Ale from Roots Brewing Co. (A 14% ABV Barleywine).

Nice assortment. To heavy ABV for me though. I'm a light weight. Lietrally. At 150 lbs, I'd be sleeping till next fall after a couple of those babies.

I've never heard of a Jereboam before... that's the equivalent of FOUR champagne bottles of a 14% barleywine? How many friends are you going to share that with?

Yea, I definitely need to few people around before I open the Epic. I also have a Jeroboam of last year's batch.

My buddy called Alan Sprints the night before and talked him into letting another buddy of his pick up 5 cases prior to the event on Thursday. We were allowed two cases per transaction on Saturday so between SWMBO and I we were able to get 4 more cases.

That's unreal. And HOTD h'aint cheap neither. Win the lottery or something? Personally...since I started homebrewing, I could never justify such a purchase anymore. And I get my beer for 5% over wholesale! SWMBO'd look at me, look at the beer, and then rub my nose in the 18 cases of homebrew we have in the basement like you rub a dog's nose in the crap it left on your carpet, and yell BAD EVAN, BAD! BAD BOY! NO! BAD!
