So i was in the process of building a set of lattice work trellises for my hops.

they are all in the front yard and last year i used the traditional twine tied to the top of the roof, but it looked like garbage..

This year i wanted to actually make something look good since i live in a decent neighborhood. Lowes and Home Depot had great looking trellis but crazy expensive. (hence why i was making my own out of material on hand)....

Well i was looking on amazon and found these that just might be the most ingenious option for Hops growing.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JBV4CA/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

and this is even better since it has the clips etc to attach to gutters

these would work for anyone wanting to ditch the twine on any of their hops growing setups.

I'm gonna use this on the frames I built instead of normal lattice work.

Nice! We got kinda lucky and the house we bought has a lattice wall on the back porch facing west. This is my first year trying to grow them. I’m envisioning that wall being covered with hops and running some 2”x2” from the top of that wall to the roof. Hoping to have a living wall and awning to provide shade later in the summer.

I’m thinking some of these might be the ticket for the ceiling part rather than 2”x2”s

my east facing raised patio has lattice work on the bottom level .. only problem is it gets 100% shade so no way to put in anything other than moss ... lol... maybe someday ill cut down the forest that is my back yard and then itll be perfect for hops.
