Can you remember the worst beer you've ever (home)brewed? (I'd love to think all the brewers stay in that bubble of perfection all the time, but sometimes a beer just doesn't come out as planned.) Also any advice for the homies who want to bump up their homebrews is greatly appreciated. Love the beer and brewery, keep killin' it!!!

when we develop a recipe we are making steps towards a goal, so often the beer is both a success and quickly dumped. a success because we saw what we wanted to see and dumped because that thing wasn't where we want to end. recently we have been working on a middle of the road milk chocolate stout dry hopped with rose petals. in general we don't like to flavor beers, as much as play with aromatics. (this is why some people were very upset with SS Kentucky, the pineapple is a smell more than a flavor, people looking for a raddler/shandy were very let down) what we want for this beer is the aromas of cheap american chocolate, we have used nibs, bars, syrup, powder all kinds of approaches. we have made some super chocolaty beers some not at all, but 0 that leaves you with the feeling of a box of chocolates from the pharmacy which is what we want. so for the final goal all failures, but each an arrow in the quiver of experience when we jam around the tippy on other ideas.

augiecarton loved your appearance on the Brewing Network's Session tons of good information. My second cousins were born and raised in Highlands, NJ so I will definitely swing by the next time we are in town.

augiecarton does a circle have a front?
It is possible to define a circle as the limiting shape of a polygon as the number of sides increases without bound. But that would be part of a non-Euclidean axiomatic system. It is not the definition used by Euclid. Euclid defined a circle as a set of points on a plane and equidistant from a center.

I bought cans of 077XX at a store today that have a canning date of 7/20/2018. At this same store there are cans of Unjunct still in the cooler since December. Do you have any input as to how long your beer should be behind the glass door of a cooler at the store?
