attaching ball lock disconect

first time kegging and I cant seem to get the( popetts) ball lock disconnects on to the keg can someone please help

First make sure you are putting it on the right post - gas posts have notches and beer posts do not. Then some keg lube on the post O ring helps but if you don't have any spray the post and disconnect with star san. You are pulling up on the collar all the way first, right?

got it thanks a lot im feeling dumb but nothing a few beers wont cure
