Worked for me...

But a half dozen a day? Man. That puts me to shame. I guess I should step up my consumption for the sake of my own health! Do you think that insurance companies will give me some discounts if I am a homebrewer and regular consume more than the average population?

Interesting article... 54% decrease is pretty extreme. And, they had a huge sample size.

I have always advocated beer as a health drink. Bottle the beer, mix in that trub (from the bottling sugar) and drink it all. Hell it is put into pill form and sold as a health supplement (really its called activated brewers yeast). One home brewed beer contains a full days supply of B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxin), and B9 (folate), with smaller amounts of B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B12 (inotisol) and choline. It only has trace amounts B12, about 0.9 micrograms of B12 per liter.

(just the top link from Google, no I do not advocate it)

In fact it is shown to decrease the chance of a heart attack and lower the chance of a second heart attack. It can also help decrease the chance of a stoke and lessen the impact of one if you are unlucky enough to have one.

Hell its practically a health food.
