It's loud and noisy but he seems to have an aptitude for it. The kid just loves rock and punk ( :rockin: ). We had to go to the store and pick up a few albums for him because my wife was going to go crazy if she had to listen to our one Rise Against album again on her way to daycare and back.

Don't underestimate the power of small kids with drum sets. I had one when I was little. When I was in middle school my dad sent my mom a picture of me playing it saying that I should get into music. So I did. Been playing for 13 or 14 years, did some touring and have had some great experiences.

Attached is the picture that changed my life.

That's just too damn cool.

We bought Chase one of those little Fisher Price snare drums when he was 6 months old. He would play with the thing for hours. We just thought he was banging away and then one day he picked it up and carried it over to the sliding glass door. Sat his little butt down and every fourth beat he would gently tap the glass. From then on we encouraged him playing. He get his last kit for his Bday in May and we need to replace the heads and the symbol already.
We want him to have fun playing it, so we never ask him to play. That and we leave the kit in the living room so he can play and not feel like he has to go some where else. Its been a lot of fun.

Make sure he keeps it up. Being in a band is wonderfully rewarding (and frustrating, too...)

I was really into Vol. 1&2 of the Alchemy Index (I think it was called) that Thrice did. Those were amazing.
