Anyone add Oak woodchip or Extract?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here has tried making their homebrew in oak barrels...or once done brewing & bottling, did the oak extract additive thing?

Im considering buying a small oak barrel to make my homebrews in....

Thoughts?

I've been thinking about it for a stout I have coming up... not a full barrel, just enough chips to imitate a barrel aged taste.. there are 2 good articles over at BYO about it:
