Any room for a Graff here?

So can anybody tell me why I can't use apple cider in a graff? Every recipe is telling me to use apple juice. Is this a myth?

I would really like to use the apples on my apple tree for this recipe.

I think most recipes call for juice because that's what's readily available in most stores.

I see no reason why you couldn't use apples from your tree to make a Graf.

You can use apples for this. A lot of people use store bought juice because it is already pasteurized, readily available, and no wild yeast. Use your apples and see what you get.
