Any other beer styles work with 1728?

You mean styles other than Scottish Ales?

I'm making a sort of Terrapin Wake 'N' Bake Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout clone with this yeast-- it's in secondary and seems to be working fine for me.

I actually thought I never submitted this as I was looking at the wyeast site in another window. What I was asking though was since I will have a good amount of 1728 slurry here in a few weeks (from a scottish ale), what other syles have you guys done/would you recomend w this yeast.

I'm interested in any answers to this too. I don't mean to hijack, just thought it would be better to add on.

I know the Wyeast website says this yeast ferments fairly neutral and clean. Does this mean its good for pretty much anything?

I ask because I'm looking for a "house" strain that can do well in lower (sub 60) temps.

I've used it to brew oatmeal stouts, Irish stouts (i.e. Guinness), Irish reds, scotch ales (works great for a Moylan's Kiltlifter clone), Scottish ales. But I think it could easily be used for a variety of others, though it seems to work best with malty profiles.

Yep, this yeast can be used as a house strain. You can ferment anything clean with it, including Pale Ale, IPA, Reds, Blonds, Amber, etc. This beer does showcase malt very well, but it does not limit hop flavors either.

I just kicked a keg of Pale Malt & Palisade SMASH made with this yeast that was really good.
