Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker here for the past year or two when I needed a new idea to get me to brew. Been brewing for the past 7 years, and enjoying every bit of it. I do 50/50 All-Grain/Extract brews depending on time, etc. I mostly brew small 1-2 gallon batches because I am a merchant marine and have plenty of time to brew when I'm home, and only half the year to drink it! We've recently started a yeast library, and that has been a lot of fun, keeping all kinds of yeast in the refrigerator and saves a lot of the expense of doing small batches. That just means we can buy more strains! We've also just completed our Honeymoon Mead with local honey and I can't wait till my 5 gal carboy is emptied of that so I can start another Apfelwien.
