Controls:
-What kind of connections are used for the gas valve > temp controller switching? It seems like just a advanced (or maybe simplified) furnace setup.
-I remember seeing the LOVE brand controllers as a big name on the HERMS setups in posts past. I suppose they are still the brand to go with for temp automation/control.
-Already have March Pump. What are you envisioning the switch to be controlling?
-

The gas valves are furnace valves. It is a simplified furnace set to run on whatever pressure and fuel you desire. The LOVE is a temperature switch that controls the furnace valve based on the measured temperature. I would use gas QD's through the side of whatever enclosure you choose. That way you could have the whole thing self contained.

I am a big fan of the LOVE brand controllers. I think there are a good value for the quality.

The switch is for turning the pump on/off. You will want the switch.

I typed out a long post, but hadn't logged in and it was lost. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but the Blichmann Top Tier stand is something that is fairly turnkey, very adjustable, can be automated with turnkey solutions, and seems pretty well reviewed. I don't weld and went the route of drawing up my stands and having a local welder build them for me. I am now using the Blichmann Tower of Power controllers on my single tier and they work extremely well. Just a thought. The stand itself is not any less expensive than something you could have custom built if you shop it around your local welders. But it is adjustable and can be put together piecemeal, which seems to be its appeal with many.
