6lb dme and 2lbs clover honey last 15 minutes.

SG 1.052, does that sound right?

ProMash sayeth 1.072. 46 points for the DME, 42 for the honey.

The 1098's mean attenuation is 74%, which leaves you with an estimated 7.16% ABV if you ferment down to 1.018 FG.

hmm...my promash database has clover honey at 35 points and I see it quoted on line around 35 from a few different sites. I don't use honey in my brewing and haven't taken a reading on a brew with honey so I can't say which is a more accurate number. Interesting.

There is no standard for honey, so you never really know what you'll get from it unless you measure it yourself. Put 1 oz of your honey in 1 cup of water and measure it with your hydrometer/refractometer. That will give you the ppg number.

But for the purposes of estimating in this case, what's a good estimate for points?.......
