So, I think it should be fine, but I wanted to check to see what you guys thought. Didn't see any with this specific thing in the old posts.

I had some beer I was about the rack from my bucket. The airlock had some fruit flies in it, but I didn't think much of it since they weren't in the beer. As I was taking the lid off, some of the water got sucked into the fermenter.

Now, the beer started with an OG of 1.1 and is now down to 1.015 (at least that's what it looked like.) So I know 11% alcohol probably means it should be fine? I figured that high of an abv should help with this problem, but again, wanted to be sure.

From here on out, I know I'm using either Starsan or vodka for going into that airlock. That's a change I never would have thought about till I saw some folks comment about that.
