I'm in the midst of fermenting an apricot wheat beer and I decided to wait about 5 days into primary fermentation to siphon the beer on top of a bunch of apricots. It was still bubbling here and there when I decided to make this transfer. Now that the beer is in the fermenter with the apricots, there is absolutely no bubbles in my airlock or any signs of life. It has been like this for about 5 days so I am assuming there is an air leak. I used a nylon strainer bag (the ones with the stretchy stuff at the top) to put my fruit in and then I just anchored it around the rim of the bucket and put the top on. I guess that very thin piece of nylon is enough to let air in? Maybe? Anyways, I have a picture here of my apricots in the fermenter. They have weird white stuff around them. I know that fermentation can produce some crazy looking things, but do you think that it is mold or something? Everything smells great when I opened it. Let me know your thoughts!
