The truth is, I would like to se Benifer flop, but if he was directed into turning in a great performance, I would applaude.

Came here to make that point as well.

It looks like they are setting up the batman reboot and continuing the superman story in one shot just fodder to set up the JLA movie. Depending on script it could be alright. Ideally it'd be an older more experienced batman trying to reel in and be a voice of experience to a drunk on power show offish superman. Probably pretty predictable, I'm guessing Luthor as a villain, some bats vs supes conflicts then a shaky peace agreement after victory over to foe to step up to JLA.... but just my guess. Aflec will be tolerable if its not too much over the top batman chest thumping with superman.

I have a feeling its going to be part new story with parts of The Dark Knight Returns into it..

But, that's more of a batman story with superman..

This will probably be more Superman with Batman..

But, TDKR is one of the most known crossovers for the two..

There is reports that Synder is talking to Miller so a TDKR story or at least an adaption of it if possible. When more casting is announced it should start to give a better idea as for the Luthor casting rumors are flying for cranston as for the other casting mentioned in the article I dont really have any comments yet, Ill see it either way probably...

He's a ten times better director than Zack Snyder so I wouldn't hold my breath on being directed into a great performance.

I'm a huge Superman fan and was PO'd by the mere mention of Batman being in the sequel. They could further develop Superman's character outside the realm of other superheros, and it would have been awesome. Now Affleck is just the cherry topping on an already ba$tardized sequel. IMHO.

I will admit, however, that Affleck already had his turn as a superhero in Daredevil...although a lot of my hatred for that film revolves around the horrible directing and hammy performance by Colin Farrell, who has also had some completely awesome performances in e.g. In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths.
