Looking for some advice on the amount of cherry product I should use on a five gallon batch. I'm using JZ's all grain recipe for Zek's Baltic Porter as my starting point for this recipe.

I'm thinking about using some OFP Sweet Cherry Purée and not sure how much I should add. The LHBS I work at sells 32oz cans but I think that might be too much. I know there is a smaller can, 14oz maybe, and think that might be a little bit better quantity.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

In a big/dark beer it can take quite a bit of fruit to flavor a beer. I did a doppelbock, and one of the cans of Oregon cherry puree wasn't enough (I added a bottle of sour cherry juice and some dried cherries as well). I like fresh/frozen sour cherries (season is coming shortly), ~1 lb per gallon.
