So, I made a pale ale with:
7lbs LME,
3/4 lb Dex
3/4 lb cara pils,
1 oz cascades at boil.
I added 2 lbs of honey at flame out

OG was 1.063

I'm thinking of adding watermelon to it in secondary. What do people think about watermelon in a pale? I've read good things about watermelon wheat beers, but do you think it will go well with a pale? Are there better fruits to go with a pale ale?

I too wanted a watermelon without wheat so I have a Watermelon Ale going right now. If my memory serves me it is:

2-Row
Crystal 10L
Honey
1/2 oz Magnum Pellets

I am planning on adding the juice of 1 watermelon to it in secondary after 2 weeks in primary.

Unfortunately it is still in primary so I can't tell you how it came out. :mug:
