Accidently used condiut hole punch

I have a five gallon igloo cooler that I cut out the bottom for the element. Problem is that I used 1 1/4" condiut punch. I'm wondering if there is any way to fix this or to use a new container.

If I understand your issue correctly, you could use a knock-out reducing bushing.

I think you technically want a 1.25" hole for heating elements. That's about how wide my holes were when I installed my 4 elements. Did you try and the hole is way too big? If it is, use a reducing coupler as was suggested. McMaster/Grainer ought to have them.
