You will go through a number of them and at almost $13.00 each it will be expensive. I get my 10 lbs bottle filled for about $17.00 If you are just pushing beer to the tap you can get by bit is you are carbonating you will use on up very fast. Along with running out of gas is a pain. Just my thoughts

I wouldn't be using them to carbonate a 5 gallon keg. I use the 5 liter mini kegs. Also, I usually prime the kegs but would like to be able to force carbonate at least 1 so I can drink it while the others are naturally carbonating.

I like that they're readily available with co2 already in them. I have a hard time finding places that are open on the weekends that will fill the co2 tanks. The closest is about 45minute drive from where I live. I know they're a bit expensive but may be worth it if they last a while, and they will be used as a backup not my primary co2 source.

It should fit the paintball adapter, since they sell these to be able to connect straight to a paintball gun.

I like the convenience factor of having one or two backup tanks on hand as well, but at that price [~$2/oz --- $13 / (90 grams per tank x 2 tanks x 1 oz/28grams)] seems like you might be better off buying another 20oz paintball tank or two. Around me, sporting goods shops will fill a 20 oz tank for less than 5 bucks. You can find used paintball tanks for cheap, or even pay full price in store (~$20-30) and break even pretty quickly.

I have 3 paintball tanks that I use for carbing and serving 5 gal tanks. Usually take the first two empties to get filled when I switch over to the third tank. That way I always have reserves. I went with the paintball setup because sporting good shops are open on weekends, and my beer distributors around me were always short changing me on 5 lb tank fills.
