I searched mini keg and nothing! Just wondering how they work. I don't drink enough for a full size keg. Any info would be helpful. thanks Nick

The local brew store has them for $10 ---5 liter---mini keg. It would be a nice way to store and drink my beer. Just wondering the ups and downs.

pros: less bottle work, fit in fridge, cask condition style

cons: pita to clean, only be used a few times before the metallic tastes comes in your beer

another con - they are getting harder to find. distributors starting to not carry them, so the price is only going up.
you can sometimes get 5gallon cornies for $20-$25, vs. $50 for enough mini-kegs to store the same volume of beer.
and co2 cartridges become more expensive than a 'real' CO2 tap run off a 5lb cylinder (or even 20oz paintball tanks).

I also found that mini-kegs rust the instant you scuff them, inside or out. SS kegs don't do that.

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like i've got a plan now. I'm going to start drinking Sam Adams 24oz bottles LOL LOL.
