I'm trying to replace a gas disconnect on my keg system. The hose is 5/16" ID. I have a gas disconnect, but it seems loose. I did a quick search, but it seems all disconnects are 1/4" barb. Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, it's a tight fit, but goes on easy enough once you dip the end of the line in hot water.
It's just like sliding 3/16" beer line over a 1/4" barb.

I would use 1/4" or 3/16" ID, clear (beverage) lines for gas. Using those, it's easy to see if there was any beer backflow, which happens sometimes.

I prefer the (threaded) MFL fittings, easier to disassemble.

Check RiteBrew.com, their pricing is 2nd to none.
