40 years ago today on October 20, 1977 Lynyrd Skynyrd's Plane crashed killing rock god Ronnie Van Zant. Here's a tribute that I think is appropriate:

Just saw them last Friday. Great show and they did a nice tribute during Freebird to the members who didn't make it out of the plane.
