I have a batch of cider I made four years ago. Is it safe to drink? What's the worst case scenario? Apple vinegar?

Thanks!

How does it smell? Should be fine as long as it was stored properly and not exposed to air. In which case, yes, you may have apple cider vinegar.

Why wouldn't it be? If its flat, it may be vinegar. Otherwise, it's probably ok.

If it tastes good, drink it. If not, pour it out.

It should be fine. I had a bottle of +-3 year old cider a month or so ago. Still alive, might have gotten a bit weirder, not sure the cider had anything to do with that.

The cider had a taste change shift, not bad at all, just not the same as it started.
