I'm sooo impatient. I have my first batch in my secondary, waiting to be bottled (probably in a few days) and I *had* to get a second batch going.
Yes, I did an extract brew (with steeped grains), but still. I'm hoping it turns out well. Making a coffee porter (I'm going to call it a corter). Dark LME, Northern Brewery Hops for bitterness (3/4 ounce), Goldings for flavor (1 ounce), and 2 cups (not the type you drink, but the measuring cups), of fresh ground kona coffee brewed ridiculously strong and added at the very end of the boil.
Pitched Wyeast irish ale yeast at 80 degrees and we'll see how it ends up.
I'm too impatient. I *really* want to see how this turns out *now*. Good for personal growth I guess.
