Dang thought I was gonna get this sold the same day I posted. Wouldn't a 1/2 in be less efficient?

Is it leak tight? Are there any threaded fittings on the wort side?

It is leak tight. No fittings on the wort line. Followed the directions on the wiki page. Im not sure if I want to use a compression fitting or just solder on connections for the one I'm keeping.
