I don't care much for the fair weather fans, or the "fans" that pick the popular teams as their favorites (ie Yankees, Lakers, etc.), just to be another lemming. Unfortunately, Michigan has a number of people that claim to be fans, for that reason only. IMO, a true fan will watch every minute they can, of every game, win or lose. If it's your team, there's no excuse not to stick it out through the thick and the thin. I wish I could revoke the fan cards of those that turn away in hard times.

I agree about fairweather fans. I never missed a minute of any game thru the great depression of the RichRod era! THAT was painful!

I also don't like fans who only seem to have negative things to say about the team/coaches. All of the negative nancies that come out of the woodwork after tough losses like the loss to Alabama. I'm an optimist in life in general so naturally that carries over to my views on the teams I follow as well. And even the most optimistic I could get about last week's game, I couldn't convince myself that we had a chance in hell against Alabama. So, to hear all of these naysayers come out from under the rocks they live under as if they thought we should have actually won the game is a bit grinding to me?!

Hello, does anyone know if Devin Funchess posts on this board? If so, tell him I love him, alright?

Air Force shouldn't have been that close, defense needs to step it up. And PLEASE, develop more of a strategy than Denard left, Denard right, Denard up the middle. Having a one dimensional, predictable offense, is gonna bite us in the ass against better teams.

I'm not too worried about the defense just yet. We were flat out over matched in that Alabama game. And that triple option is never easy to prepare for for any defense. I read on another forum that Georgia Southern runs the triple option and they ran for 300+ yards vs. Alabama LAST year!

Now, as far as the offense goes, it definitely concerns me that we couldn't get Fitz going. They can't count on Denard to do everything as the year goes on.

Lastly, I still think Michigan looks good as far as winning the B1G is concerned. I wasn't buying Taylor Martinez and Nebraska after their win over Southern Miss and they proved me right losing to UCLA. Same goes for Wisconsin and their unimpressive loss to Oregon State.

Ya think?

Well, this thread has been quiet. It's Notre Dame week fellas! I have one thing to say:

TO HELL WITH NOTRE DAME!!!

What's the over/under on when Kelly's faces changes colors???

It would definitely make for a good win, with ND being (IMO) overly ranked right now. Surely get us closer to the top ten.

Yeah. ND is improved, but I was stunnded how much they jumped in the polls for beating an over-rated Sparty team?! Typical ND media bias. It seems like everyone just couldn't wait to declare ND as being back. Hopefully Michigan can put a dose of reality back in the ND hysteria!

I have moments where I think maybe I'm being overly critical of Denard Robinson. Then again, so far in this game, I don't feel bad at all.

I'm glad the defense has stepped it up to at least keep it close.

Can I get a QB?

Not to be a hater but Denard is the most overrated QB in college history. Period. He is a great RB but he is not a QB. At all.

Well, seeing that a certain game is looming this Saturday, I thought I'd revive this thread.

What does everyone think Michigan's chances are of going down to the cesspool that is Columbus and ruining Urb's and Ohio's run at perfection?

BTW, here is what I'll be drinking on Saturday:

GO BLUE!!!

Oh and one other thing fellow Michigan fans might find humerous, Sparty needs to win @ Minny just to get bowl eligible... :D

Are you guys excited about helping OSU go undefeated?

I don't know what would be funnier. Watching Michigan ruin Ohio's run at an undefeated season or watching Ohio go undefeated in a season where they can't have anything to show for it... :D

If they do happen to win Saturday, maybe Urb can buy the team tats commemorating their meaningless 12-0 season... :mug:

Ohio beating Michigan is NEVER funny. So that's obvious: Michigan ruining their perfect season.

I think you're mistaken. I'm an OSU fan. 12-0 leaves no room for excuses.

No. When we see them next year, they will have more excuses. You are taking all the fun out of this threadjacking! : )

But now that we are a day older, wiser, and more sober, good game. The only reason OSU was able to pull away at all was the buckeye defense made an impressive appearance for the first time all season.

No. Our OC made a predictable turn to putting his offense in a shell...

We had GREAT success of having both Devin and Denard on the field at the same time last week vs. Iowa and, instead of building on that success, he reverted to only having Denard OR Devin on the field at once. Hell, he didn't even have Denard in the game PERIOD in that 4th quarter. Inexcusable if yo ask me?!

How about that 17-16 win over Michigan State?

As for the fun with threadjacking...

Go urine and blue!

Did you see how bad Moo U's offense was this year? Holding Sparty to 16 points is nothing special...

Our pathetic OC had more to do with our offense disappearing in the 2nd half on Saturday than Ohio's defense...
