before today, i had never brewed more than 1 beer in a day. ive brewed 3 beers over 3 days, but never multiple in a day. after my experience today, i will probably always brew 2 beers at a time. from weighting grain to cleaning up was a total of 7.5 hours. i was quite happy

for those interested, i have 1 burner, 1 mash tun, and 1 boil kettle. once i added the sparge water to the mash tun for the first beer, i started heating up the water for my next beer. filled the mash tun with water about 10 degrees hotter than i needed it to be and then started boiling the first beer. with about 30 minutes left in the boil of the first beer, i adjusted the temperature of the mash tun and doughed in. the rest went as normal.

was not near as hard as i thought it would be. I had both recipes written out in steps and just crossed them off as i went. good way to save some time!

Did four in two days (Sat, Sun) awhile back. The Saturday brews were both lagers, a Helles (one decoction) and an Oktoberfest (three decoctions). I started milling grain before 8am and pitched the last of the yeast at 11pm. The two ales on Sunday were much easier.

Not something I plan to do very often.

nice! both of mine were ales, so not too much to them. ive yet to do a lager, but now that my fermentation chamber is complete, ill probably be doing a black lager next

I'm not sure I could keep it together long enough. Probably start drinking too much for batch #2. Recently switching to AG, it takes about 4 hours from setup to having equipment cleaned again. My hats off to you for getting it done though!

One thing I do want to do more of is bottle in the same day. I have something in the secondary now, and it would be great to bottle the other batch thats in the primary on the same day. Less sanitizing and cleaning.

I've had a couple of recent double brew days, but it's been a beer then a mead...seems to work out well b/c I don't have to worry about cleaning out my mash tun before doing the second batch (or cleaning it out twice, for that matter!)

i definitely wasnt drinking when doing the two batches. never thought about that, but i agree that it would make things much more difficult if i had a few beers in there. ill try it out again next weekend WITH beer and let you know how it goes.

well, i brewed while watching my one year old and i dont drink while im primarily in charge of him. but yea, apparently you can make beer being sober as well. whether or not its good beer has yet to be determined

I have done this before and once did three in a day. We used to do double brew days at the brewery and they were grueling. Now I enjoy taking my time with each brew and look forward to each brewing opportunity. I don't need the beer as much as I need to brew. It is a recreation thing for me and a break from the other demands on my time.

I did back to back BIAB AG brews a few weeks ago. It went very well and really only added an additional 2 hours to the day.
