I found a couple of these coolers on craig's list from a local coffee roaster.
I'm using one as a HLT, the other as a mash tun. I drilled a return port at the top for RIMS. I tried using a copper manifold, but I couldn't get proper circulation. I bit the bullet and bought a custom false bottom from Jaybird. He really does an incredible job, the construction is ridiculously sturdy. I have a copper pickup underneath the false bottom.
Galvanized on the outside, stainless on the inside. When I have mashed in this, the outside doesn't get hot. And it's pretty easy to clean.
Anyway, I'm happy with it, thought I would share.
