Hey,

I just opened up a Porter kit that I got from my LHBS and it had two packets of Safale S-04 11g.

I'm assuming that it was a mistake and that one packet of 11g is enough.

Thanks,
E

It's plenty..you scored an extra packet free! In the future, you can check with this tool: http://www.mrmalty.com/calc/calc.html
Just select how many gallons, type of yeast and type of beer and it will tell you how many grams of dry yeast you need...in your case you are spot on!

YAY!!!! :ban:

Thanks for the replies.

I'll pop one in the fridge for one of my future brews..

I know it's not a big thing to get excited over, but this made my day.. :mug:

Oh, and by the way, I thought about calling my LHBS, but they are closed now.. and it'll be hard for me to return it because of other reasons.
