Five,10 gal extract and one fail BIAB batch but managed. What will it take to brew 10 gallon batches in a single vessel? When I cut the top off my keggle, new total volume is 14 gallons. I have an uncut keg, my current keggle and welding experience. Plan to weld in TC ferrules anyway, why not Frankenstein the the two kegs together, total height estimate 24" for a total volume 20.5 gallons.

Big enough, go bigger or a waist of time? Any thoughts?

I don't mind the fab/weld challenge of a Frankenstein keggle. (sanitary welding will kill a ton of purge gas)

My opinion, waste of time and good kegs when considering you can get a shiny new 20g concord kettle on eBay for a hundred bucks....you can likely sell the two kegs for more.

I don’t care for keggles for several reasons....

Don’t cut up usable sanke kegs, use as intended for serving.

Or, perhaps a nice fermenter for your 10g batches.

Agreed. The weight alone is worth the cost. Kegs are so heavy and lets face it... we are not getting any younger.
