- Tasting Notes
- Light bodied, malty, lots of raisin and stone fruit notes. Nice low ABV Belgian beer.
I brewed this BIAB and split the batch with a friend.

Predicted OG: 1.041
Predicted FG: 1.008
Color: 15 SRM
IBU: 24.6
Ingredients:
16.0 lbs. Pilsner (2 Row) Bel (2.0 SRM) 92.8%
1.0 lb. Special B Malt (180.0 SRM) 5.8%
4.0 oz. Carafa II (412.0 SRM) 1.4%
4.0 oz Saaz (3.00%) Boil 60 min.
2.0 pkg Safbrew Specialty Ale (DCL/Fermentis #T-58)
Mash schedule:
BIAB, light body
14.69 gal strike water at 153.9F
Hold mash at 148F for 60 min.
No sparge
Notes:
This is a quick and easy introduction to Belgian brews. Light-bodied and tasty, with lots of malty, stone-fruit goodness. At 4.3% ABV, this is a great session beer. The beer is moderately dry, and I didn't need to add sugar to dry it out.
