Greetings all. I love my Stout Tanks BK, but the sight glass on it is a ***** to clean. I can't find a bottle brush that's supple enough to make it through the 90 degree bend and get at least halfway up the tube as well. I finally discovered the solution and I'm pleased to say it works well, so I'm posting it here in case anyone else is having trouble with their Stout Tank sight glass. This is a 20" Fermentap Sight glass (attached photos), and with a threaded sanitary fitting it clamped right on, and the top spins off for cleaning. A side benefit is because the hole at the bottom of the sight glass is so small, it dampens out most of the movement in the boil so you always have a good idea of your volume. I can take it apart, clean it, and put it back together in about 3 minutes, which is about a 10 minute improvement over the old one. Hope this post helps somebody.

Using the tri clamp parts, it might be easier to use a tri clamp elbow from the kettle port, and then mount that sightglass on a tri-clamp to NPT thread adapter. Much cleaner and simpler. I will try and make one of those up from parts around the shop if possible and take a pic.
