just wandering what temp to ferment the starter at?

ok thanks , thats kinda what i thought, but it don't hurt to ask and make sure.
Mr Malty recommends propagating you lager yeast in the low 70s for the best balace between healthy yeast and good growth. In this case you will definitely want to decant the spent wort before pitching.
